T-Mobile is positioning its 100% fiber internet service as an option for fans who want faster speeds at home. The company says its fiber network provides a direct fiber-optic connection to the home, with plans offering speeds of up to 2 Gig.

T-Mobile Fiber Internet sends data using pulses of light through strands of glass to support the high bandwidth demands that come with streaming live sports, particularly when multiple devices are connected at the same time.

The current offers include a 300 Mbps plan starting at $35 per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees. T-Mobile Fiber Plan features symmetrical upload and download speeds, unlimited data and a Wi-Fi router, with installation included.

Upgrade to its 1 Gig plan for $50 per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees, and includes two months of service free. The plan automatically renews at the regular rate of $70 per month for 1 Gig.

For households that want even more bandwidth, T-Mobile is also offering its 2 Gig plan, featuring the fastest speeds for just $70 per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees. The plan will automatically renew at the regular rate of $80 per month for 2 Gig. Additionally, when signing up for the 2 Gig plan, customers will get two months of service free and $100 back through a virtual prepaid card. (Allow for 14 weeks from rebate submission.)

These faster tiers could be particularly relevant for watch parties at home where a big game is streaming on the TV and other devices are simultaneously online.
