Coronation Street's Carl to be kicked out amid new fling drama

Coronation Street's Carl Webster is at the centre of more problems at home next week, as his confused mum Debbie mistakes his latest lover for pop superstar Kylie Minogue.
After reliving her brightest memories of the '80s in a pub quiz, Debbie feels transported back to her favourite decade - but it puts her in an embarrassing situation with son Carl…

"Debbie thinks Carl's pulled Kylie Minogue," explains our cobbles source. "His date is called Kylie, and that iconic name can only refer to one woman as far as Debbie is concerned!
"She immediately latches onto the stranger, completely starstruck, leaving her loved ones deeply concerned."
Debbie's cringeworthy mistake comes after she's spent the afternoon with her head firmly in the 1980s. Wanting to raise money for Debbie's dementia choir, Glenda Shuttleworth relishes the idea of hosting a pub quiz in the Rovers, and persuades the hotel owner to take part.
Ever the perfect husband, Ronnie's concerned that Debbie might struggle in the quiz, but Glenda has a trick up her sleeve. As the quiz commences, Debbie's in her element, with her eyes fixed squarely on the page.
Ronnie's grateful to Glenda, and gives her a thankful smile for fixing the questions in Debbie's favour. It's a quiz all about the '80s - Debbie's heyday!
Debbie reacts really badly when she overhears newcomer Ross Wilkes slagging off Carl to Kevin. She's been grateful to see her brother call a truce with her son, so the last thing she wants to hear is someone stirring up trouble between them again.
As far as she's concerned, Carl's turned over a new leaf. However, when Debbie and Ronnie return home, they find Carl half-naked and emerging from the bedroom with a complete stranger!

Ronnie is irritated to see Carl using their flat for some afternoon delight with a stranger when he's only there temporarily - but Debbie's distracted by the woman he's brought home and her name!
"Carl's date has no idea that Debbie has dementia," reveals our insider. "So when Debbie mistakes her for Kylie Minogue, the atmosphere changes. Ronnie's upset to see Debbie so confused, but it's Carl he directs his anger at."
Ronnie knows Carl's disruptive presence will only bring more trouble to Debbie's door. So once he hears the former mechanic's been offered a new job, he spies an opportunity to get rid of Carl.
He tells the fraudster he wants him out of the flat as soon as he gets his first wage packet. Will Carl agree to the deal, or manipulate a vulnerable Debbie again in the hope of keeping a close grip on his inheritance?
