CBC’s Luke Carroll was down at the multiplex polling station speaking with voters about their experience. All four people he spoke with said casting their ballot was smooth and fast.

“In and out in five minutes,” said Ron Corey.

“And it's, you know, midway through the afternoon. We thought it would be busier, but it was great,” said Joanne Corey.

Joanne and Ron, along with others, said they noticed electronic machines taking their ballots for the first time.

Cynthia Cumming said she was unsure about the new voting machines at first, but said it was ultimately a quick process.

Gordon Graydon said he also had no issues and that it may have been the fastest he’s ever been able to vote.
