LUCENA CITY – Police anti-narcotics operatives seized over P3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from an alleged high-value drug trafficker at a drug bust in the Quezon province capital early Tuesday.

Drug suspect “Ogie,” 36, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. after he allegedly sold P1,000 worth of meth to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay Ibabang Dupay, according to Colonel Romulo Albacea, Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) chief.

The report stated that the confiscated meth had an estimated street value of P3,000,060.

Police also confiscated a motorcycle which is believed to have been used in the suspects’ alleged illegal activities.

Ogie is classified as a high-value individual (HVI) in the police drug watch list — a designation referring to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, importers, or known members of drug syndicates.

“We will not stop in our fight against illegal drugs. We will continue to pursue individuals involved in the distribution of illegal drugs to protect our communities and ensure a safer and more peaceful province of Quezon,” Albacea said.
