National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag clarified Thursday that it is not referring to Casas Con Vistas when it mentioned the resort allegedly linked to Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte.

“Hindi kailangan mag-statement ng Casas Con Vistas dahil hindi naman sila 'yung sinasabi,” Matibag said in a press briefing.

(Casas Con Vistas does not need to issue a statement because we are not referring to them.)

“So dine-describe, so magkatabi 'yan. Hindi sinabing iyon. Kaya nagtataka kami sa resort, bakit kine-claim na sabi sila,” he added.

(It is being described as next to each other. We did not say that it was that. That's why we were confused why the resort claimed that it was them.)

Matibag played the video where Casas Con Vistas was seen, pointing out that the speakers were referring to the resort next to Casas Con Vistas.

On Wednesday, Casas Con Vistas issued a statement denying any connection to Duterte, saying that their owners are private citizens. —AOL, GMA News
