Prosecutors drop abuse charge against Adelaide child protection worker

Prosecutors have dropped a child sexual abuse charge against a child protection worker midway through her trial in the South Australia's District Court.

Hannah Joyce Neale, 31, appeared in court today where the prosecution withdrew a charge of sexual abuse of a child, which meant she is no longer facing any criminal charges.

The prosecution had alleged at trial that the 31-year-old had a "sexual and romantic relationship" with a 16-year-old boy for almost two years.

The trial had also heard Ms Neale previously worked at a supported accommodation facility in suburban Adelaide.
