Asa Germann Lands Role Of Angel In New ‘X-Men’

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Asa Germann (Gen V) is set for the role of Angel in the new X-Men movie from Marvel Studios, sources have confirmed to Deadline.

Reps for Marvel couldn’t be reached for comment. Germann had previously been rumored for the role of Cyclops, which went to Kit Connor.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1963, Warren Worthington III (aka Angel) was introduced in the first issue of X-Men in 1964. Born with large, feathered wings that allow him to fly, the character initially hides his mutation before joining Professor Xavier’s team. In the comics, they’re later mutilated and replaced with metallic wings by Apocalypse, who transforms Angel into the darker, blue-skinned Archangel.
