Translate

A Gold Coast man has been charged for sharing Nazi symbols online.

Federal Police searched the 49-year-old man’s Mudgeeraba home on Wednesday, seizing a mobile phone.

An AFP spokespersons said their investigation began in June, after officers found a social media account allegedly posting Nazi symbols and racist, white supremacist, nationalist and anti-LGBTQIA+ content online as well.

The man was given a notice to appear in court, and is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on November 16.

The charge comes with a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment.
