Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Outage in Gigiri
Kenya Power has announced a planned electricity interruption affecting parts of Gigiri in Nairobi on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, to facilitate maintenance works.
In a notice, the utility said the power interruption is scheduled to run from 9am to 5pm, affecting several diplomatic missions and businesses in the area.
The affected locations include the Canadian Embassy, Rwanda Embassy, ICFC Campus and Rubis petrol station at the UN junction.
Kenya Power said the interruption will also affect adjacent customers within the designated area.
Residents, businesses and institutions in the affected locations have been advised to plan accordingly during the scheduled maintenance period.
