Suriya praises Fahadh Faasil, says he still ‘hasn’t been able to be like Fahadh’

Fahadh Faasil will mark his Telugu lead debut in the upcoming SS Rajamouli fantasy entertainer ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble,’ presented by SS Rajamouli. Ahead of the film’s release, the team is travelling across multiple states to promote.

During an event in Tamil Nadu, Kollywood superstar Suriya heaped praise on Fahadh Faasil and opened up about the close bond they share.As per a report by India, Fahadh Faasil referred to Suriya as “anna”, which means elder brother. The ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ actor who was present at the event began his speech by acknowledging the actor’s words and recalling their long conversations and shared memories.

Suriya revealed that the two actors had spent a lot of time talking over the years.

They discussed their careers, early struggles and the experiences that shaped them as actors.“We’ve spoken so much and spent so much time together (over the years). We’ve talked in the morning, afternoon, evening, mid-evening, late night, and until dawn. We have so many memories together,” Suriya said.He also shared that both of them had faced difficulties early in their careers before finding their footing in the film industry.

“All this (fame and stardom) wasn’t there at the start. We fell, broke our knees, and only then were we able to stand up. I have beautiful memories with you,” he added.

Suriya says he has not been able to be like Fahadh Faasil

Suriya also praised Fahadh for choosing characters and stories without worrying too much about his image as an actor. He said many actors calculate how a film might be received by different sections of the audience before making a decision.Comparing his approach with Fahadh’s, Suriya said, “He’s not like that at all.

I still make wrong calculations, and I haven’t been able to be like Fahadh.”He explained that Fahadh focuses on the core of a character and the story rather than worrying about how the role might affect his image.“He only sees the core of a character. ‘Is the story good? Can we give this content to our audience?’ He sees things freshly, innocently, and openly. That’s why we get movies like the ones he makes. Thank you for being you,” Suriya said.

About ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’

Written and directed by debutant Shashank Yeleti, ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ features Fahadh as Suri, a magician who befriends a young girl. The story takes a fantasy turn when the girl develops supernatural abilities and is revealed to be a genie who can grant wishes.

The film also stars child actors Ssara Palekar and Saurabh Sachdeva. Kaala Bhairava has composed the music, while Brad Francis handled the cinematography and Praveen Antony is the editor.

The film is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and SS Karthikeya.It is scheduled to release worldwide on October 2.Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil recently saw success with ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit,’ as the film hit it out of the park and became Malayalam cinema’s highest grosser. Fahadh Faasil is one of the producers who backed the project.
