Leslie Bibb Stars In ‘The Rush Whisperer’ Sorority Recruitment Dark Comedy In Works At HBO

Translate

Leslie Bibb is going for a three-peat at HBO following her starring role in Season 3 of The White Lotus, for which she shared an Actor nomination, and her recent guest stint on Hacks, which earned her a 2026 Emmy nomination.

In a competitive situation, HBO has landed for development The Rush Whisperer, a comedy starring and executive produced by Bibb and executive produced by Kristen Campo.

The project, which I hear has a penalty attached, is co-written by Kelly Hutchinson (Dead to Me, Palm Royale) and Grace Parra (Star Trek: Lower Decks, Solar Opposites) based on the article “How Much Would You Pay for Friendship? Private Rush Coaches are Selling Teens the Sorority Dream” by Grey Battle. It is described as a dark comedy set in the cutthroat world of sorority recruitment.

Bibb, Hutchinson and Parra executive produce The Rush Whisperer alongside Campo and Daniel Simon for Campout Productions and Scoop Wasserstein for New York Magazine/Vox Media Studios. Battle will serve as consulting producer.

Bibb, who rose to prominence as a lead of the cult Ryan Murphy WB series Popular, has enjoyed a career resurgence following her role on the Thailand-set third season of Mike White’s The White Lotus. She recently was also a series regular on Apple TV’s Palm Royal and is next set to star opposite Brett Goldstein and Lesley Manville in Goldstein’s romantic comedy series Escorted for Prime Video. Bibb is repped by UTA and LBI Entertainment.

Hutchinson is repped by UTA, Stacey Lubliner at SEL Media Group, and Mitch Smelkinson. Parra is repped by UTA, Mosaic, and Ziffren Brittenham. Vox Media Studios is repped by CAA and Del Shaw.
