Myha'la Harrold, known mononymously as Myha'la, is a 30-year-old actress from San Jose, California, USA, perhaps best known for her role as Harper Stern in the BBC financial thriller drama Industry.
Born to American and Jamaican parents, Myha'la began acting when she was 21 years old, primarily in theatre roles, and has a degree from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
In 2017, she was part of the touring production of The Book of Mormon, playing Nabulungi, while she is also recognised from the Loch Henry episode of Black Mirror, Netflix thriller Leave the World Behind also starring Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke, comedy-horror Bodies Bodies Bodies opposite Pete Davidson, and Swiped, a biographical film starring Lily James.
Myha'la is married to fellow actor Armando Rivera.
Why did Myha'la sign up for The Celebrity Traitors?
Myha'la said that taking part in the Celebrity Traitors was her "dream" after she had a been a fan show for a long time.
"When the announcement came out with the lineup, friends were messaging, 'You literally said you wanted to be on this show. That's so good' because everyone knows I’m obsessed! I love this game," she told the BBC, "This is like my dream."
Does Myha'la want to be a Faithful or Traitor?
Most people when they go on any version of The Traitors say they want to remain Faithful but not Myha'la – she's desperate to be picked as a Traitor.
"For a lot of reasons [I want to be a Traitor], but one because I want to stay in the game as long as possible. And two because I think as a Faithful, this is going to be really hard for me," Myha'la said.
"I've studied it enough to know that people like me who come in as super fans are seen as huge threats and once you're a threat, it doesn't matter who you are, people are going to target you.
"As a Traitor at least I'll stay in the game long enough to prove myself a bit. It will be an insane uphill battle convincing people that I'm not Harper too!
"I've very deliberately planned the looks that I'm wearing to really separate and be seen as me and not that character. I've got my jewellery; my hair is different. I've really, really, really planned this."
The Celebrity Traitors starts on Thursday 1 October at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
