China home prices keep falling as property slump drags on
BEIJING: China's new home prices extended declines in August, official data showed on Tuesday, underscoring the persistent drag from the country's prolonged property downturn.
New home prices fell 0.1 per cent in August, matching the decline in July and June, according to Reuters calculations based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
On an annual basis, prices fell three per cent, narrowing from a 3.2 per cent drop in July, the slowest pace of decline this year.
