[UPDATED] Husband surrenders after wife found murdered at KLIA quarters
NILAI: A 35-year-old civil servant was found murdered at a government quarters unit along Jalan Kuarters KLIA, with her husband identified as the suspect.
Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received information on the incident around 8.30pm before a team was dispatched to the scene.
"We received initial information that a 35-year-old female civil servant had been murdered.
"Based on preliminary investigations, the victim was murdered by her husband.
"The suspect surrendered at a police station after the incident," he said when contacted.
Alzafny said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, with further details to be released tomorrow.
Earlier, the suspect was brought into the residence by police around 11.30pm in handcuffs. He was seen leaving about 20 minutes later.
The victim's body was removed from the scene at 12.10am and taken to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban for a post-mortem.
