More photos from the set of Miami Vice '85 have made their way online, and Michael B Jordan is looking seriously cool in them.

If you didn't know, the super-stylish 1980s TV crime drama is getting a big-screen adaptation with Nightcrawler director and Andor writer Dan Gilroy on script duties.

It's also being helmed by Joseph Kosinski, knows a thing or two about reviving an '80s project to huge success thanks to directing Top Gun: Maverick.

Sinners and Black Panther actor Jordan is stepping into the shoes and suit of Ricardo Tubbs, the character originally played by Philip Michael Thomas in all bar one of the show's 114 episodes.

In the photos, we see the actor wearing an outfit that looks very similar to the one Tubbs wore in the show's very first scene.

That lends even more evidence to the reports that the film will be heavily inspired by the show's first and especially the first two episodes, 'Brother's Keeper', which were originally edited together and shown as a two-hour pilot movie.

The episodes saw Tubbs arrive in Miami from New York, looking for revenge against drug lord Esteban Calderone for his brother's murder. He ends up being forced to partner up with Detective James 'Sonny' Crockett, who has his own reasons for wanting to take Calderone down.

Elvis and Caught Stealing's Austin Butler plays Sonny, and there are photos of him from the set looking equally as stylish as his main co-star.

The Odyssey and Encanto's John Leguizamo has confirmed that he is playing Calderone, which is a bit of a full-circle moment, as one of his earliest roles was playing Calderone's son in the original show.

Other cast members include Oppenheimer and Weapons' Alden Ehrenreich, Top Gun: Maverick and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Danny Ramirez, Fallout and The White Lotus' Walton Goggins, to name just a few.

Miami Vice '85 is set to release on 19 May, 2028.
