Seven dogs rescued in Quezon City amid heavy rains
MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD) rescued seven dogs from a flooded area in Barangay Fairview amid heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon on Saturday evening, Aug. 29.
The QCVD said it received reports of seven dogs needing rescue at 12 Mahogany Street, Sapamanai, in Barangay Fairview.

“The seven dogs were safely rescued and brought to the care of the Quezon City Veterinary Department for proper assessment and monitoring,” the QCVD said in a Facebook post.

In a separate Facebook post, the Quezon City government shared photos of pet animals seeking temporary shelter at a Pet Evacuation Center.
“The Quezon City Veterinary Department and barangay officials are still looking after the pets of residents who evacuated from Barangay Silangan and Bagong Pag-asa,” the city government said. /mcm
