Pagasa: Rains in parts of Metro Manila, Luzon areas on Thursday morning

MANILA, Philippines — Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over parts of Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon on Thursday morning due to the southwest monsoon or habagat, according to the state weather bureau.
In a rainfall advisory issued at 8 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the following areas will experience the said weather conditions:

Pagasa noted that the next rainfall warning will be issued at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
In a separate 5 a.m. weather forecast, the weather bureau said that generally improving weather conditions may be expected today as the Tropical Depression Neneng and the southwest monsoon are forecast to weaken.

It added that Neneng may make landfall within the northern portion of Taiwan within 12 hours and will weaken into a low pressure area. /mr
