Alison Hammond reveals marriage plans as she shares rare insight into her love life

Alison Hammond has opened up about her future marriage plans. The Great British Bake Off presenter met her boyfriend, David Putman, in 2023 when she booked him for a massage treatment.
Rumours began swirling as to whether the TV star was dating the 29-year-old masseuse when they were spotted together numerous times, with Hammond confirming the relationship in May 2024.
It has also been theorised several times that the couple are engaged, but former Big Brother star Hammond has said marriage is not on the cards for now.

She told the Daily Mail: "Maybe David wants to have children in the future. I can’t give him that. I would never ever stop him doing that.
"But I feel marriage is archaic. I don’t want to belong to anyone. I don’t want to change my name. I might get engaged, but some man owning me? It’s not gonna happen!"
She described David as "wonderful" and expressed her joy over never having to question his feelings towards her.
"He’s one of the most loving people. I’ve always had issues with my boyfriends. This one, I don’t. We get on really well," she told the publication.
"We love each other. I never have to worry or second-guess how he feels about me. He’s wonderful. When you say he’s 29, I can’t believe it. It’s like he’s 55."

She said that David and her son Aidan, whom she shares with ex-partner Noureddine Boufaied, "get on brilliantly" and that they have been "having a lovely time" on "lovely holidays".
"We’re kissing a lot," she continued. "I’m having a lot of massages. He’s got healing hands. The other day I had shoulder problems, but as soon as he massaged me I was fine. What more can you ask for?"
