QC issues traffic advisory for Friday’s La Naval procession

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government advised motorists to temporarily use alternative routes as heavy traffic is expected on Friday, Oct. 9, during the image of the La Naval De Manila procession.

The local government said in an advisory that traffic build up may occur from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday due to the scheduled recorrido, or religious procession, of the image of La Naval De Manila to local churches.

It said the procession will begin at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish, go to Quezon City Hall, and end at Sto. Domingo Church as its last stop.

The blessing stations will be at St. Joseph Parish Church, Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Holy Family Parish (Kamias), Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Parish of the Lord of Divine Mercy, San Isidro Labrador Church, Sacred Heart Parish, Christ the King Parish, Holy Family Church (Roxas), and St. Paul The Apostle Parish, as stated in the advisory.

The local government added that personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department, Department of Public Order and Safety, Task Force Disiplina, and the Quezon City Police District will be deployed to the routes that may be affected by traffic.

“Pinapayuhan ang mga motorista na dumaan sa mga alternatibong ruta. Salamat po sa inyong pang-unawa,” it said in the advisory.
