Male dancers in KL outlet believed to have offered 'extra services'

PUTRAJAYA: Male dancers at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Klang Lama are believed to have offered customers "extra services" outside the premises, Immigration investigations have revealed.

Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said checks showed that the premises only allowed male customers entry.

"Investigations revealed that the entertainment outlet catered strictly to male customers, who were charged an entry fee of RM780 per table.

"Once inside, customers were entertained with dance performances by a mix of local and foreign men.

"The four foreign men arrested during an operation at the premises, three Chinese nationals and a Filipino, have been detained for 14 days to facilitate further investigations," he said when contacted.

He said the department did not rule out the possibility that arrangements for "extra services" were made between the dancers and customers away from the outlet.

When asked if the extra services were sexual in nature, Zakaria declined to elaborate.

Zakaria said the department would share its investigation findings with the police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) D7 division.

It was reported that the Immigration Department uncovered activities at an entertainment centre in the capital featuring only male dancers during a special operation on Sept 27.

During the joint operation with the National Anti-Drug Agency, which began at 12.05am, three Chinese nationals and one Filipino national — all male and aged between 21 and 31 — were detained.

The men, aged between 21 and 31, were held for suspected offences under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Three local men were also issued notices to report to the Immigration Department to assist investigations.

The department had previously said the entertainment centre had been operating since last year and catered to local and foreign customers in the Klang Valley.
