The New York-based Friends of the IDF (FIDF) nonprofit organization released an English-language digital video library on Sunday, archiving firsthand testimonies and accounts of the October 7 massacre.

FIDF said that the library was intended to be accessible to supporters of Israel in the United States, including both Jews and Christians.

“Since October 7, we have been moved by the surge of supporters across Jewish and Christian communities in the United States who want to understand more closely what happened in Israel on that devastating day and the days that followed and hear directly from the people who experienced it," Maj.-Gen. (Res.) Nadav Padan, CEO of FIDF, said.

Former hostages, IDF soldiers film testimonials of October 7

The archive features over 12 hours of footage consisting of over 50 filmed testimonies from former hostages, IDF soldiers, and the families of massacre victims.

Among those who gave their testimonials for the library are Moshe and Shira Shapira, parents of St.-Sgt. Aner Shapira; Rabbi Doron Peretz, father of Capt. Daniel Peretz; Col. Elad Edri; wounded soldier Izzy Ezagui; and former hostages Noa Argamani, Amit Soussana, Maya Regev, Almog Meir Jan, Edan Alexander, and Maxim Harkin.

"Three years later, it is important not only to preserve these testimonies, but also to make them accessible in English to the communities that support Israel and IDF soldiers," Padan said. "This library allows them to hear firsthand from soldiers, hostage survivors, and families, and to learn the personal stories behind October 7."
