A 63-year old tricycle driver died after he was run over by a car in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

In a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Tuesday, the victim was first hit by a van on the rear of his tricycle along the portion of Barangay San Miguel before the fatal mishap.

Due to the strength of the impact, the victim was thrown to the ground where he was then ran over by a passing car.

The victim was rushed to a hospital but died while en route.

Police said the driver of the car and the victim's family had reached an agreement.

Authorities reminded motorists that aside from making sure their vehicles are in proper working condition, drivers should also make sure they are physically and mentally fit to operate them, to avoid accidents. —RF, GMA News
