MP David Ndakwa Warns Against Wrong Political Alliances, Urges Kenyans to Give Ruto 10 Years

Translate

MP David Ndakwa has cautioned politicians against aligning themselves with what he described as losing political camps, citing the impeachment of several prominent leaders as evidence of the consequences of choosing the wrong political side.

Ndakwa pointed to former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi, all of whom faced impeachment, arguing that political alliances could determine one’s survival in government.

In his remarks, the legislator suggested that politicians who associate themselves with struggling political factions risk losing their positions and influence in government.

“Look at the political dynamics around us: those who aligned with Kawira Mwangaza saw her impeached, those who walked with Gachagua saw him impeached, and the same fate met Linturi. Political alliances carry real consequences, and those who choose the wrong side ultimately fall out of governance,” Ndakwa stated.

Ndakwa Backs Ruto’s 10-Year Presidency

The MP also threw his weight behind President William Ruto, arguing that the Head of State deserved an opportunity to serve for two full terms to complete his development agenda.

Ndakwa praised Ruto’s leadership and political resilience, saying his administration had made significant contributions to the country’s development.

He maintained that Kenyans should support the President’s vision and give him a full 10-year mandate to implement his transformation agenda.

“When you look at everything President William Samoei Ruto has accomplished for this country, the results speak for themselves. Given his track record of delivery and political resilience, we should stand behind his vision and grant him a full ten-year mandate to complete the transformation of Kenya,” he said.

His remarks amount to an endorsement of Ruto’s re-election ambitions ahead of the 2027 General Election, with the President expected to face an increasingly competitive political contest.
