Thai women’s sepak takraw reach Asian Games semifinals


NAGOYA, Japan — 2 October 2026, Thailand’s women’s sepak takraw team defeated India 2-0 in their final Group A match at the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, on 2 October to advance to the semifinals.
Thailand won the match 15-10, 15-4.
The Thai team comprises Waratsamee Thongsod, Somrudee Prueprak, Wipada Jitpornawan and Ratchaneekorn Sae-heng.
Thailand finished the group stage with two wins and one loss, placing second in Group A.
The result sent Thailand through to the semifinals, where they will face Indonesia, the Group B winner, at 12:00 Thailand time.
