Pablo Alborán and Riza premiered “Deditos Cruzados,” a song that was conceived at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week last October, on Thursday (Oct. 1).

The ethereal song was born almost a year ago during Latin Music Week’s panel “Making the Hit, Live!” During the nearly one-hour session, the Spanish crooner and rising Filipino-Cuban artist joined producer Julio Reyes Copello and sound engineer Natalia Schlesinger to begin working on the song in front of a live audience.

Now, “Deditidos Cruzados” has finally arrived.

The dreamy and soulful tune with Middle Eastern rhythms and heartfelt lyrics about missing and longing for someone is backed by Alborán and RIZA’s powerhouse vocals and enchanting harmonies.

“From Julio, I learned not to settle and at the same time to constantly seek emotion in everything I do in the studio,” Alborán said at last year’s music event. “I rarely feel understood. He understands your roots, where you come from, and he does it in a different way … it’s a luxury to be around him.”

Reyes Copello added at the time: “We share the same vision of beauty. I think we have the best version of everything in our heads, and there’s one person who far surpasses all those versions. Pablo is an artist from another planet — that’s what brought us together, and that’s what we share emotionally.”

“Deditos Cruzados” is the fourth song that was created during “Making the Hit, Live!” at Latin Music Week, following Blessd & Ovy on the Drums’ “Billboard,” Pedro Capó and Carín León’s “Existo” and Grupo Frontera’s “Ya No.”
